Mission Statement

The mission of the Secure Media Vault Associates is one of protecting the media, the vital information assets and electronic records in accord with their status as the most valuable information assets of our client base. SMVA’s security model addresses the requirements of an auditors “best practices” standard for continuous due diligence and audit trail. No other vital media service provider is qualified to offer this full service and secure solution.

Protecting massive collections of Information Assets that are stored in geographically distributed data archives is a totally unique and demanding task. Rigorous design criteria are carefully crafted into our network of Media Vault Centers .  It is an extremely difficult task to satisfy the members of the audit committee of the board of directors who are charged with the responsibility of fully mitigating corporate risk.

Consultants and attorneys define the legal standard for Corporate Information Security as requiring that each company:

•     ……must EXERCISE DUE DILIGENCE (prior, during and after outsourcing)

•     ……must CONTRACTUALLY REQUIRE OUTSOURCE PROVIDERS TO IMPLEMENT APPROPRIATE SECURITY MEASURES

•    ……must MONITOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE OUTSOURCE PROVIDER

Even with these three principals framed into a policy statement directing the executive officers (CEO, CFO etc.) to comply, the Board of Directors will NOT have relieved itself of the responsibility of protecting the company’s vital data.  The wise solution for executive management and the Board is to direct outsourcing of E-Records and Digital Records to vendor/partners willing to participate in a secure risk sharing protection plan. Such a platform can be jointly insured to insulate the Board by mitigating the risk inherent in Digital Records and Technology.

This singular precedent of the Secure Media Vault Associates protects Corporate Officers and Directors by eliminating known risks to e-records.
